WOMEN'S CONFERENCE
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, maybe even a little bit depressed? Most women today have a whole lot to balance - in addition to caring for the home, getting dinner on the table every night and doing endless piles of laundry - they are either homeschooling or working outside of the home - and both trying to keep the family afloat financially. MMSC (Mothers of Many Small Children) are especially stretched thin! Add to this the truth that the Mom sets the tone for the entire household and it's a heavy load indeed!
Smyrna Wesleyan Church is offering a Ladies Conference for women of all ages and places in life on April 30th and May 1st. This conference is entitled "UNITING HEARTS IN HOPE" Friday, April 30th from 6:30 - 10 p.m. and Saturday, May 1st from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Set aside time right now and come for a few refreshing hours of renewal and hope. Lighthearted moments will be found as we watch a Christian comedian DVD; appetites will be satisfied with chocolate snacks on Friday night, a Continental Breakfast and then a Luncheon on Saturday. We will also enjoy moments of serious reflection after hearing from our speakers: Children's Pastor Marilyn Searcey from Laurel DE, as well as KimB Lakra, mother of 4 small children and missionary to India where she and her husband are ministering to orphans and needy children from poverty stricken homes.
A registration fee of $25 is requested to cover the food and honorarium costs; however, a scholarship fund is available to those with financial difficulties. Since childcare will not be provided (Mom's need a break!) we urge you to begin lining up care for your small ones even now.
