The purpose of Smyrna Wesleyan is to connect God to people and people to people, and people to God, in order to pursue His purposes.
OUR PROCESS :
We will pursue God’s purposes, by connecting with God as worshipers and disciples; by connecting with each other in shared values and mission; and by connecting with our community through acts of service.
OUR VALUES :
We value WORSHIPPING GOD THROUGH DAILY LIVING – therefore, We will design and implement ways to celebrate God, both personally and collectively.
We value FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS – therefore, We will work to build an intimate church family, unified in its values and mission.
We value TEAM WORK – therefore, We will teach our church family to use the diverse gifts God has given us, working together as a team, as we fulfill God’s purposes.
We value OTHERS – therefore, We will perform sacrificial, meaningful, acts of service and kindness in our community, so others might want to meet God because of us.
We value YOUTH – therefore, We will posture ourselves to build bridges to, and be relevant to, upcoming generations.
We value PRAYER- therefore, We will pursue God’s purposes and intercede for others through personal and collective prayer.
We value LAUGHTER AND JOY—therefore, We will strive to continually rejoice in God and others.
Note: We believe it is our responsibility to see that every man woman and child in our community has the opportunity to accept or decline Gods invitation of grace availed through His Son Jesus. Therefore, the process referred to above is cyclical; it begins with building a bridge to someone through service to them; which will hopefully lead them to connecting with us through fellowship and worship; which will lead to their conversion and becoming a disciple of Christ; which will lead to them building bridges to others through acts of service; which will lead to those others recognizing God’s love and coming to fellowship and worship; which will lead to their becoming a disciple of Christ; which will lead to…. …. And the beat goes on…
